Mary Beth Dawson
Mary Beth is the owner and artistic director of Dance Etc and is a Certified Acrobatic Arts Instructor and member of the International Dance Entrepreneaurs of America.
She graduated cum laude from Columbia College with a degree in Dance and a minor in Arts Management and has been teaching for over 35 years.
Her students have been selected as members of ECU Pure Gold Dancers and the Campbell University Dance Team. They have also been featured performers in shows at Disney, Kings Dominion, Busch Gardens and Carowinds; and have gone on to professional dance careers in California, Colorado, Florida, New York, North Carolina and Hong Kong.
Mary Beth served as Producer and Co-Executive Director of the Miss Kinston-Lenoir Pageant Association. She has also choreographed many community and civic productions such as Miss Kinston-Lenoir County, Miss North Carolina, Miss Neuse, SALUTE!, and Relay for Life.
Peyton is a USAG Certified Junior Olympic developmental coach for Acrobatic Gymnastics.
She is a 10 year competitive gymnast, originally from Myrtle Beach, SC, then at the University of Florida. She competed and medaled in NAIGC Regulated Competition.
She has coaching experience on the collegiate level at University of Florida.
Jessica has been involved in the entertainment industry for more than two decades as a dancer, company member, and teacher.
She was the 2014 recipient of the “Top 20 Under 40” presented by the Lenoir County Young Professionals.
She obtained her degree in Recreational Therapy from East Carolina University and served as a licensed therapist for ten years at Caswell Developmental Center. Recently, she accepted a position with Lenoir County Public Schools serving as an Exceptional Children’s Teacher at Northeast Elementary School, teaching in a satellite class specialized for kids with Autism.
Jessica was Miss Kinston-Lenoir County in 2002 and served as the Executive Director and Co-Executive Director of the Miss Kinston-Lenoir County Pageant Association for many years.
Jentry Albritton (guest Artist)
Jentry earned the Classical Ballet Teaching Certificate from Dr. Peggy Willis-Aarnio, an authority on the teaching method of dance founded by Agrippina Vaganova and is trained in Classical Ballet, Pointe, Contemporary Lyrical, Jazz and Acro.
She has performed competitively, on cruise ships and in lead Ballet roles such as The Snow Queen in The Nutcracker.
Her students performed competitively at Disney and have been accepted into many summer programs such as NYC Ballet, prestigious high school and college dance teams.
She served as the artistic director and choreographer for several full length Ballets of The Nutcracker, Snow White, and The Little Mermaid.
